Description
The Embraer has arrived! We wanted to bring something different to our fans for Edition #9. Previously, it has been either Airbus or Boeing. Embraer started commercial aircraft deliveries in 1996 and our edition is from an early one just a couple years later in 1998.
PGA Portugalia Airlines received their brand new Embraer ERJ145 jet which was given the name “Gaio”. This translates to the bird species called “Jay”. It appears from research they named all their other Embraer 145’s after birds including Pardel (Sparrow) and Melro (Blackbird). Nope… not THAT Blackbird!
Our Embraer ERJ-145 only flew with PGA Portugalia Airlines and was assigned the registration CS-TPK. “Gaio” was a narrow-bodied jet and seated around 50 passengers.
What is great about this edition?
Well, our piece is from the engine cowling located at the rear of the airplane. The Tailfins make up the pieces from the logo “EMB145”. There are some stunning blue and white combinations from this very limited run. A few have rivets on the rear and a handful of special ones with triple skin.
